Friday 27 October Day 1 Adele finished work at 9.45am, we had already packed the van, filled up with fuel and water, gas was almost full so were off just after 10am, the trip down the motorway was fine a part from torrential rain, we stopped on the motorway for a bit to eat before continuing down to Folkestone, it had dried up now, we checked in, we were the only ones at the ticket booth, we got our pass for pet control and continued into the terminal, again there was no-one about, no-one in pet reception, no other motorhomes or campervans parked up, we were given a train an hour and a half early so proceeded to passport control, again no-one in front of us, no-one at the gas check or at French passport control, it was like the place was closed, we moved to the loading lanes. It was just gone 7pm when the light faded so we started tea, chicken with Spanish grains,  chorizo and peppers, to be washed down with a glass or two of white wine. Adeles cold is getting worse so no tipple for her tonight just dosed up with cold & flu tablets. Saturday 7 October Day 2 Woke 7.30 to bright skies and breezy, Adeles feeling a little better this morning but is still full of cold. What's happened to this mini heat wave we were supposed to hav...
