Ludlow Shopshire - June 2019

Ludlow Shropshire June 2019 One of the most obvious benefits of having a campervan is that you can get away at the drop of a hat. Since getting our beni 120 we have had quite a few weekends away, not always very far away but far enough to feel like we are on holiday. One area we like is Shropshire and less than an hour from home is the lovely market town of Ludlow. Ludlow sits on the river Teme and the oldest part is the medieval walled town dating back to the 11th century, the town has nearly 500 listed buildings, including examples of medieval and Tudor-style half timbered buildings with its castle sitting at the head of its old market square. We were unable to get away until after work on Friday, but we were still on the camping and caravaning club CL site at Elsich Barn Farm by teatime, it was a lovely evening we sat with a gin & tonic looking out on the beautiful, peaceful countryside, we had planned to have a BBQ for tea, Adele had prepared some ch...
