Upton upon Severn
Thursday 31st March
Day 1
We took the A38 through the city of Worcester, which although busy wasn't a problem, as we drove past Kempsey we had a quick change of mind turned left and headed for Upton upon Severn.
The quick walk to the ticket machine taught me one thing, to put my coat on! it was absolutely freezing, 5 degrees on the thermometer. On the second attempt to leave the van we had thick winter coat, wooly beanie hat and gloves, it was still cold and as we left the warmth of vera it started to snow.
We had parked the van on the rather dull and uninteresting long stay car park so we drove the few miles to British Camp in Malvern to find a more picturesque spot, however, once in Malvern all the car Parks wanted £4.50 to park, we drove around the back of the hills passing the points where the famous Malvern water pours from natural springs.
We couldn't find anywhere where we could park for an hour to have a cuppa, so resigned to returning home without tea we left Malvern, just on the outskirts we found a free car park on the edge of a common where we parked, put the kettle on and finished our day off with cake and tea.
